Tissue Paper Tile

I have been wanting to try this for some time and finally had an 'occasion' to try it. I have to admit that it was not as easy as I thought it would be. There was alot of trial and error - I found out Modge Podge WILL come off once dried (don't ask LOL). This is for my Mom & Dad's anniversary today. I printed the picture on tissue paper, cut the words and the flourish out of vinyl and then coated the entire thing with modge podge. It has (or will shortly) cork on the back. My mom wants to display it on a stand....I will be trying some more of these for Christmas...wish me luck!!

Birthday Cards - Fun Shapes!!!

So my bestie said 'I am tired of folding cards in half!'. I have to agree that I have been having fun with the welded cards and 'shapes'. I made these two cards for my dad's B'day this past weekend. I LOVE the paper combinations, I think they came out so well and do not look 'girlie'!! The cute doggie is cut from Create A Critter (one of my favs) and the present is from one of the Christmas ones (can't remember right now...oops!). The paper is all DCWV and I used lots of bling (even though it was for my dad I could not resist the bling...) The stamp is from My Pink Stamper (they are so FAB). TFL!

Post It Note Holders

I got the pattern for this from my bestie Randi (THANKS!!!!). I made these for my daughters teachers...she has some great teachers and we wanted to have a little something for them before Winter Break. I used Christmas Cheer for all the cuts and lots of Stickles and rhinestones - I also used my trusty Cuttlebug to give some dimension. I need to make a run to Office Depot for the mini gel pens and then they will be complete. Thanks for looking!

Busy Weekend!!!

So I had a super busy weekend with tons of Girl Scout stuff to do. I did however sneak in some crafting time :0) I learned a very valuable lesson this weekend...don't start a large project with vinyl when you only have EXACTLY enough - something WILL rip, I promise. I jumped on the charger bandwagon - I have been wanting to do them since I saw everyone's last year.
I found these great chargers at Target for 4.99 a box. I used Kim Brights Beautiful Santa graphic and my Gypsy for the snowflakes and Believe. I must say, I cut this graphic last year with paper and it was much easier to weed in paper...not sure if I will do it in vinyl again. When I am able to finish the second one (when I receive the vinyl LOL) I will post it as well. Thanks for looking :0)

So Excited!!!!!

I am so excited!!!!!!! I just recently found out that the sock cupcakes I made for the Hospital Gift Shop sold! They were donated, so no profit for me but just the fact that they sold is so exciting to me. I recently made some t-shirts for my daughters Dance Studio (will post a pic as soon as I remember to take one LOL) and now they want MORE! And THEN, one of the parents saw the studio shirts and asked me to make four shirts (in one night - YIKES) for her daughters Pageant. Thank goodness for my trusty Gypsy...I have never designed so fast! I used the Hello Kitty Font and a crown from CAC. She loves them and now I am going to make shirts for her daughters Birthday. I am also going to make some car stuff for the studio. Who knew I could make some extra money with my hobby??? Well my bestie did of course...look what SHE does with her crafting! Thanks so much for looking...

Side-Step Card

My first successful Side-Step Card!!! I have tried this several times and could not just get it right...but this time it worked!!! I used Bazzil for the base and some more of the great DCWV Fall paper...I love the glitter paper. It is hard to tell, but the pumpkin (from PDDU) is on Glitter paper and I popped the sides up. The front layer is ribbon with a frame from Storybook pop-dotted up and then some bling (of course!) TFL

Toliet Paper Word Book

I have been wanting to try one of these for quite a while...then I watched Mary's video over on CardzTV and that motivated me to start collecting the supplies. Last weekend our Girl Scout Troop volunteered at the Koman 3 Day For A Cure walk (it was fabulous!!) so that inspired me some more. Sooooooo, here is my first attempt. I have to say I love the word books and I will definitely be trying more - thinking I would like it to be bigger next time (especially the picture tags) so I will have to decide on a different medium. For this one I used some old K&C Paper, Tons of Bling, TBBM, Wall Decor and More, Stand and Salute and of course...toilet paper rolls. The hardest part was figuring out what to put on the pages. I still have 2 that are blank...printing pictures as we speak. TFL

Gobble Gobble!!!

This is my first ever Thanksgiving card. I have been wanting to do something with the sweet little Turkey. I was inspired this weekend when I found 3 DCWV Autumn paper packs at Michael's - on sale...YEA! I used CAC for the turkey and the Gobble - I used my Gypsy to weld the word onto the card. I also used some inking on the edges - this is the first time I tried it - I think I am addicted LOL!!! TFL

Snowflake Ornaments

So I had a wonderful weekend of craft time. I had the chance to take a class taught by my bestie (she teaches the best classes!!) on Saturday and had so much fun! She taught us how to make these beautiful snowflake ornaments (no cricut...GASP!!) using a Nestabilities die-cut. The blue one is the one I made in class - the white and red one I made at home on my own. I think I am going to make several in green and white and put them in my front window for the Holiday Season....Thanks for looking and thanks Randi for the fun class!

Waterfall Card

This was my first try at a waterfall card and I am quite happy with it! I watched several videos on how to make them and took the best of all the videos (at least what I thought was the best LOL). I used an old DCWV stack and some fab leaf brads that I have been trying to figure out what to use on. I cut the leafs on the cricut ( I used Gypsy Wanderings and Don Juan) and an old stamp set from Michaels. Thanks for looking...have a great week!!

Halloween Card #6

This little guy is so cute...how could he be scary???? I used a Cuttlebug folder on the background (love the pop of pink behind him) and some googly eyes to give him an even cuter face. I just love this cart...most of the cards I left blank inside (or just added a border of drippy goo) but this one was calling out for the caption. DCWV paper packs, this year and last years. I used a punch from last year on the edge of the envelope, I thought it gave it a little pop. TFL

Halloween Card #5

This card was made using Stretch Your Imagination. I am not too sure about this one, but I am sharing it with all of you. I used three different orange glitter papers and a Bazill Orange paper for the base. It is VERY orange...but I kind of like it. TFL

Halloween Card #4

This is my take on Robyn from My Pink Stamper 'too cute to spook'. She is just so cute...I used stickles and the MS drippy goo punch. I pop of black ribbon and the My Pink Stamper Stamp. Again I used the DCWV paper, last years for the envelope lining.

Halloween Card #3

I used the sign post towards the back of the Mini-Monsters for this one. It has a lot of SMALL cuts, but I think it came out pretty cool. I used a ton of stickles and the DCWV glitter paper, I used a Cuttlebug folder on the background paper...can't remember what it is called. I used last years DCWV paper for the liner on the envelope and one of the stamps from My Pink Stamper.

Halloween Card #2

This card was made with one of the cute little pumpkins on Mini-Monsters. I used a brad to attach the card and googly eyes to give him a cute look! I love this glitter paper from DCWV, it gives it a real pop. I used my new stamps from My Pink Stamper...they are fun!!!! Used last years DCWV paper for the lining on the envelope...TFL!

Halloween Cards...

I have been having so much fun with the Mini-Monsters cartridge!! I received my Pink Stamper Stamps today and was able to finish these Halloween cards. I think they came out pretty cool...I am posting the best six. I don't usually send alot of Halloween cards, but I will be this year LOL. Thanks for looking!!

So for this card I used the witches hat - I used a Cuttleug folder (Divine swirls) and lots of Stickles. I love the MS drippy goo punch, I was lucky enough to find one this year! I also used my new Pink Stamper stamp...these are soooooo cool. I used the DCWV stack from this year for the card and from last year for the matching envelope.

Another Window Decal

So our Girl Scout Troop marched in the local Labor Day Parade. We had a van in the procession and of COURSE we had to decorate...LOL. So I used SCAL and cut the GS Logo and words in the proper font and we put it on three windows. Looked pretty cool and everyone wanted to know how we did it....TFL

Butterfly Card made with the Gypsy

So I have to thank Maya Magoo and her post over on Tuesday Treats this week. I was SO happy to see her back - I just love her stuff. She really inspired me to make this card - I have been trying to come up with something different for a card for my mom using a butterfly and I think this came out really nice. I also have to thank my bestie and my personal crafting guru Randi (you should check out her site...she is giving away some fun blog candy!!!!http://craftycricutcreations.blogspot.com/). She has taught me so much about my G and E and pushed me to try new things. I used four different pattern papers from DCWV Summer Dream Stack- a big first for me. I welded the beutterfly and flower shapes with my G and added/welded the rectangle for the back of the card. I cut two layers for the front and only attached the butterfly along the body so that she popped out. I only added a little bling as the paper has glitter in it...added a little ribbon and pearls for the inside and called it a day. TFL!!!!

Car Decals

So I am a little late in posting these...but these are some decals I made for my truck. As you can tell, my DD is a swimmer and a dancer - and of COURSE we have to throw a little Twilight in there. I get so tired of scraping off the window paint in the summer, so this was a GREAT alternative. I had a bunch of parents ask me if I would make them for their cars too...now I just need to figure out how much to charge! All of the decals are cut out of Cricut Vinyl on the Cricut machine. TFL!!!!

Pink Stamper Challenge - It's Cold Outside!

This is for the Pink Stamper Challenge - It's Cold Outside. The challenge was to make a Winter card or craft. As winter is my favorite season I jumped on this one. This card morphed into something completely different from what I had in mind, but I am so happy with it. I think it is one of the best cards I have ever done. I used the Create a Critter cart for the shapes, I used DCWV paper (LOVE the glitter and shiny papers), I used the Snowflakes cuttlebug on the white layer (kind of hard to see in the photo) then a pop of red ribbon. I have never used four layers of mats, but I think it pulled the colors together so well. Thanks for looking...

Sunday, August 22, 2010

These are some more sock cupcakes, I got the idea from Greenbean over on the Cricut MB. My mom wants to try selling them at a Gift Shop...this would be the first time I have 'sold' anything....WOW!!!!

This is a sweatshirt I made for my daughter last year for Christmas. We are big Twilight fans...go Team Edward!!!!! The Team Edward is split on the front and the Twilight is on the lower back. I used heat vinyl and some bling. The Dazzled is a long-sleved shirt that I made for myself.

Altered Mailboxes

These are some mailboxes that I altered. The mailboxes are from Target (the Dollar Spot) and the paper is the old Girl Scout line form DCWV. I used them for our End-of-the-Year awards.

Tiles for outside

Here are some tiles that I have made. The first one was for me (the one in red with the ladybug) and the others have been for friends after they saw mine :0) They are 12x12 tiles with the words in vinyl. I drilled the holes and then hung the chain. Thanks for looking!!

Another Fathers Day Card

As a kid we camped as a family alot. My dad also did Y-Indian Princesses with me (he is such a good dad!!!) so I wanted to try something reminiscent of that for this card. I just LOVE the Create a Critter cart and it made this card easy. I also am loving this DCWV Pet stack...has some great colors in it. Thanks for looking.

Tiles

My daughter and several of her troop-mates earned their Girl Scout Silver Awards this year. I was so proud of them and all the hard work they did. I made these tiles with my cricut and SCAL to present to them at their ceremony. It was my first time drilling holes in tiles, but it was pretty easy. I just love using vinyl and I think they came out very nice!

Graduation Card

My nephew is graduating from high school - so I needed to whip out a card. His school colors are green and gold so I used that as inspiration. I used my cuttlebug on the background (and the frame inside) and cut the shapes from my cricut. It is simple - but I think he will like it!

Pink Stamper Challenge

This is for the Pink Stamper Fathers Day Challenge. This is the first time I have participated in a challenge!!! I used my cricut (of course!) with Stand and Salute and Wall Decor and More; it is my first time using Coredenations Paper (allot of firsts here!) and I really liked it. Thanks for looking...
